
Dr. Gil Troy
Dr. Gil Troy is a Distinguished Scholar of North American History at McGill University. He was recently designated as an Algemeiner J-100, one of the top 100 people āpositively influencing Jewish life.ā He wrote The Age of Clinton: America in the 1990s and eight other books on the American presidency. His book Moynihanās Moment: Americaās Fight against Zionism as Racism describes the fall of the UN, the rise of Reagan and the spread of anti-Zionism. Troy has appeared as a featured commentator on CNNās multipart documentaries, The Eighties, The Nineties, and The 2000s and has been interviewed on most major North American TV and radio networks. He has published essays and columns in The New York Times, The Daily Beast, and The Jerusalem Post. He chairs Taglit-Birthright Israelās International Education Committee. His new book, co-authored with Natan Sharansky, Never Alone: Prison, Politics, and My People, was just published by PublicAffairs of Hachette. He currently lives in Jerusalem.
