Missed Connections: Linking the Haftarah to a Fresh Start

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

Jewish life presents us with many opportunities for personal and national renewal. One of those opportunities occurs during the weeks leading up to Passover. During this period of time, we have a series of special Torah and Haftarah readings (from the books of the Prophets) that explore themes such as how society values money, what makes a war worth fighting for, the importance of leadership, and more.

Join Haftarah expert Kira Sirote, as we discover the connections between these special Biblical readings that teach us about our tradition’s high expectations of the society in which we live. This societal roadmap lays out an urgent new perspective on this season of national renewal.
