Founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg following the production of Schindler’s List, USC Shoah Foundation’s mission is to develop empathy, understanding and respect through testimony. Our Visual History Archive® preserves in perpetuity testimonies from 65 countries, in 43 languages, and is housed at the University of Southern California. Through our research, educational, and community outreach programs, the Institute harnesses the power of its archive of personal testimonies from witnesses to genocide in order to do our part to build a better world.
