Alliance Synagogue, home of Shawrith Israel Congregation of Alliance, is one of the oldest shuls in New Jersey, built in 1889, on the site of the Alliance Colony, the first Jewish agricultural society in America. The synagogue has experienced a renaissance in recent years, with events organized by partners in Alliance Community Reboot, a nonprofit organization with a vision to rebuild Jewish agricultural community in South New Jersey.
