Confronting Holocaust Distortion and Antisemitism

Hosted By: The Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights (TOLI)

Holocaust denial and distortion have become widespread and dangerous. An insult to victims and a perversion of history, this rhetoric has entered legitimized public discourse and gone viral on social media. The unprecedented surge of antisemitism worldwide in recent months has also been fueled by Holocaust distortion and disinformation about genocide. Moderated by Deborah Lauter, Executive Director of TOLI.

Panelists include:

David Deutsch, Senior Project Officer, Global Task Force, International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Confronting Holocaust Distortion is a key priority of IHRA, a consortium of 35 member nations.

Oana Nestian-Sandu, International Program Director, TOLI. She also leads content development for the IHRA-UNESCO Capacity Building Training on Countering Holocaust Distortion for policymakers, educators and civil society.

Laurence Weinbaum, historian and Chief Editor, the Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs.
