Book Club: Halfway Home

Hosted By: Congregation Kol Ami

Join the Tzedek Council and Anti-Racism Working Group of Kol Ami for a special book club discussion on Halfway Home: Race, Punishment, and the Afterlife of Mass Incarceration. The book illustrates the many challenges people face as they move through and eventually leave the criminal justice system in this country. As the title indicates, the book especially addresses the racist underpinnings of this system and how it continues to adversely impact the lives of black and brown folks. This will be a powerful discussion on the Shabbat right before Juneteenth.
