Becoming Unstuck: Teshuva and the Science of Lasting Change
Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning
The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Education presents a High Holiday Elul course with Dr. Mona Fishbane on the practice of teshuva and the possibility of real change. Drawing on Jewish wisdom, neuroscience, and psychology, the program will examine how habits form, why they are difficult to break, and the role of guilt, apology, and forgiveness in healing relationships. Using insights from Maimonides, William James, and contemporary research on neuroplasticity, the course offers tools for reshaping behavior and cultivating transformation at any stage of life.
