Astronomer Avi Loeb: The Scientific Hunt for Alien Technology

Hosted By: Stephen Wise Free Synagogue

Join us for a conversation with the leading Harvard Astronomer Dr. Avi Loeb, author of the bestselling 2021 book Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth. This book chronicles Dr. Loeb’s study of the astronomical object Oumuamua, which he concluded was probably an extraterrestrial spacecraft visiting the solar system. Moderated by our congregant Alan Scheiner, we’ll examine the evidence for extraterrestrial life and try to answer what this means for science, religion, humanity, and our planet.
