Abortion 2022 – Re-Examining Jewish Approaches in the Wake of Roe v Wade

Hosted By: London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS)

This course will analyze the framework surrounding abortion in Jewish law and its application over time and explore it in relation to current abortion laws in the UK, the USA and Israel. Look at this critical issue with perspectives from experts in women’s health and psychology as well as Torah. How do we understand the concepts of life and choice – and who gets to choose?

Each week, join experts from the Halachic, medical and mental health communities who will add their voice to this crucial discussion: Dr Emily Simon, GP and specialist in women’s health and community gynecology, and Judith Ellenbogen, psychotherapist working in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the NHS with extensive experience in pre and post termination counseling.
