A Tribute to Israeli Author Meir Shalev

Meir Shalev, one of the great columnists and authors of modern Israeli literature died in the spring of 2023. In this short course, we will survey selections from his fiction and essay writing to explore his unique point of view on Israeli society.

The class will include selections from The Blue Mountain, Four Meals, A Pigeon and a Boy, and My Russian Grandmother and her American Vacuum Cleaner.
