A Singer, an Inventor, and an Actress Walk Into A Class: When Three Notable Jewish Entertainers Meet

In this course we will learn about three Jewish notable performers of the 20th century: Al Jolson, who was born Asa Yoelson; Hedy Lamarr, originally Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler; and Betty White, who was born Betty not Elisabeth. Join us to learn about their lives as well as about these performers’ nuanced cultural backgrounds and how it intertwined with their careers.
