A Shattered World: From World War I to the Rise of the State of Israel

Hosted By: Pardes

The first half of the twentieth century posed challenges and opportunities rarely met by the Jewish people – the Holocaust, the struggle for the State, the move to American suburbia. This class will trace the strategies, struggles, successes and failures as Jews traverse these transformative decades seeking no only to understand what was then, but also some of what is happening now.

Classes take place in Israel time. Recordings are available to participants who register and pay.
