Knowing the Way: In Appreciation of Halacha

Questions play an enormous role in Jewish life and culture, but Bradley Caro Cook, descendent of the compiler of the Shulchan Aruch, argues that sometimes you just have to know what to do. His experience discovering his roots gives us–observant and non-observant Jews alike–a window into the role and the beauty of halacha in our Jewish story today.

Bradley Caro Cook is co-founder and managing director of Career Up Now (careerupnow.org), a national program incubated by University of Florida's Hillel, that designs career advancement retreats and fellowships for emerging professionals. He holds a doctorate in education in Teacher Leadership and an MA in curriculum design. An award-winning educator and social entrepreneur specializing in the intersection of career advancement and Jewish identity. Bradley derives his curriculum design experiences through his global travels, Jewish texts, and wisdom of previous generations.
