Rabba Sara Hurwitz

Rabba Sara Hurwitz is the president and co-founder of Maharat, the first institution to ordain Orthodox women as clergy. She also serves on the rabbinic staff at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale. She has been named one of Jewish Week’s 36 Under 36, one of the Forward50 most influential Jewish leaders, and one of Newsweek’s 50 most influential rabbis.
