Jewish Composers of Broadway

Hosted By: Golden Slipper Gems

Since the beginning of Broadway, many composers and lyricists were of Jewish background. They dominated Broadway for close to 50 years – and are still going strong! This 3-part lecture series will begin with Kurt Weill, the well-known Jewish composer in both Germany and New York City, and will continue with contemporary composers including Alan Menken and more. Come and join us for a fun ride on the Broadway train!
