We’re officially in the countdown to Hanukkah. As far as I’m concerned that means one thing, and one thing only: the excuse to eat fried foods is getting ever closer. Hooray!

You may associate latkes with your Bubbe, but since I’ve been living in Manhattan I’ve discovered Korean cuisine, which often includes a first cousin of the latke called kamja jeon.
