I will say that it definitely doesn’t make me want to eat ice cream. Or sleep with a priest. Or really do anything except scratch my head. But I wonder if I would be outraged if the guy was dressed as a Hasid, and the woman was be-wigged. Hard to picture, to be honest.
Regardless, in the UK the Advertising Standards Authority is investigating, because their guidelines on blasphemy (they have guidelines on blasphemy??!!) state that “linking sex or sexualized images with religion” and “portraying nuns in a sexual manner” is inappropriate.
Is it inappropriate, or just really dumb?
