William and Kate’s Wedding: Mazel Tov!

This entry was posted in Culture on by .

Prince William and Kate Middleton are getting married. And you know, news of a wedding will always rock the Jewish world, no matter the religion of the chatan and kallah, or what type of cleric is performing it.

For a uniquely Jewish perspective on the festivities, here’s a video from our dear friend, favourite comedian, and authentic British Commonweather Marcus Freed, who shares a hearty l’chaim with the Windsor mishpocha. In the words of the Black-Eyed Peas: Mazel tov!

For more about Marcus, be sure to check out our interview with him about Solomon and Shakespeare!

I found this very offensive, to refer to King George’s stuttering in such a context. Shame on anyone who makes fun of an affliction. Not funny, certainly not witty.

Cute – a nice relief from all the media overload between the Royal Wedding and Donald Trump. Glad at least one of these are over, both seem to be medieval anachronisms. Especially those really weird outfits on troopers who must stand for hours without twitching anything but their eyelids. But the Brits do love their pageantry. The many millions spent on this incredibly over elaborate event helps keep their minds off the 1/4 of the government employes about to be sacked (for budget reasons).
