The Facebook of Genesis

The ever-lovin’ Esther Kustanowitz just alerted us to the brilliant Facebook of Genesis, in which God…uh, adds a dude named Adam to his friends list. And so on.

Before you cry foul, which I was all ready to do, it’s actually a clever reimagining — a postmodern translation, if you will — of the Creation story. Granted, there are the expected half-slipups and faux amis (“God is high like a kite…literally cuz I’m in da SKY”), but there are a lot of nice touches, several of which are glanced upon with a subtle accuracy that will not be lost on the kids today. My favorite? “Serpent” portrayed as that moronic-but-tepid friend who’s always writing “FAIL” on everything.
