Shimon Smith

Shimon Smith is the songleader/cantorial soloist at The Daniel Centers for Reform Judaism in Tel Aviv. He also serves as head of music for the Israel Movement for Reform Judaism’s young adults, songleader for the Jewish Agency Summer Camp Shaliach (Emissary) program, and host of “The Best in Israeli Rock” on Jewish Rock Radio. He’s also the Hebrew voice of Scar in the recent “The Lion King” movie. Born in Hoboken, N.J., Shimon has lived in Israel for most of his life. He lives with his wife Rebecca, his dog Lucy and baby daughter Lily.
