Workshop: Ethical Wills and Legacy

Shomer Collective presents an experiential workshop with Dr. Lesley Simpson on ethical wills, or “wisdom letters,” a 3,500-year-old Jewish tradition of passing values, beliefs, and love across generations. Dr. Simpson will share remarkable letters from her ongoing collection, including ones read at Passover seders and Chanukah gatherings and letters that have reunited families separated by war and time. Participants will then write, leaving with raw material for their own wisdom letter as the High Holidays approach.
