Virtual Tour of Jewish Kazimierz

Hosted By: The Workers Circle

Explore Krakow’s historic Jewish district, Kazimierz, in a virtual tour using new drone photography and historic footage. Kazimierz is one of two surviving Jewish medieval districts in the world, a living testament to 700 years of culture and tradition. Join the Workers Circle and Tomasz Cebulski, Ph.D. for this special tour to explore Kazimierz’s streets and synagogues. In addition to speaking with Dr. Cebulski and Workers Circle CEO Ann Toback about Ashkenazi Jewish history, we will see exclusive interviews with modern-day Kazimierz Jewish residents that will provide insight about the future of this changing community. This program will also feature music from native songwriters, Mordehai Gebirtig and Leopold Kozłowski.

Tomasz Cebulski Ph.D., the man behind Polin Travel and Heritage Sky Pictures, has spent the last 20 years studying and leading tours in Poland and Central Europe. He will serve as scholar-in-residence in the upcoming Workers Circle Jewish Journey to Eastern Europe in May 2022.
