Using Art to Deepen Understanding of Stories in Tanach
Hosted By: London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS)

How might we use works of art to look closely at biblical texts and uncover their stories? How might we model being a “guide on the side and not a sage on the stage” in our teaching to empower our participants? With a focus on three pieces of Biblical text this workshop will demonstrate how works of art can be portals to access meaning and connection in our sacred texts. We will use a series of thinking routines developed by Harvard’s Project Zero as adaptable tools to investigate the text and create a culture of independent thinking and agency.
This event is at 3 PM ET and 8 PM in the UK.
