To the Ends of the Land: The Poetry of Israel’s Southern and Northern Communities

Hosted By: Pardes

The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies presents a series of lectures exploring the poetry created in Israel’s Gaza envelope and northern communities. Since the calamity of October 7 and the war that followed, these regions have become symbols of devastation—but they have a story that reaches far beyond recent tragedy. Through history, music, and verse, the program will uncover how these places have long shaped the larger Israeli story.
