Three Great Hebrew Poets: Voices of a Nation in the Making
Hosted By: Haberman Institute
The Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies presents a three-part series exploring how modern Israeli literature is built layer upon layer, with contemporary poetry and prose often echoing the “founding mothers and fathers” of Hebrew writing. The sessions look back at the great twentieth-century figures whose work both accompanied and shaped the cultural revival of the Jewish people. Their poetry anticipated, encouraged, critiqued, and celebrated the early stages of what would become the state of Israel.
