DESCRIPTION:Community Scholar Program presents a lecture examining how Nazi antisemitism developed between 1933 and 1945 and why it differed from earlier forms of hatred. Drawing on Saul Friedländer’s concept of “redemptive antisemitism\,” the session explores how Nazi ideology portrayed Jews as a corrupting force whose removal was seen as national purification. The discussion also considers how such ideas took hold in German society and how they helped make the Holocaust imaginable.
