The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning will host a program exploring the role of Sephardic women in preserving their culture after expulsions and exiles. Dr. Rivka Amado will examine the contributions of two groups: those who fled Spain and Portugal and the conversó women who secretly maintained the Jewish faith in the Iberian Peninsula. This program aims to provide new insights into the importance of these women in Sephardic culture and Judaism as a whole.
