The God of the Bible

The London School of Jewish Studies presents a course examining the many ways God appears in the Tanach, from creator and lawgiver to destroyer and liberator. Drawing on biblical, rabbinic, medieval, and modern sources, the sessions explore how these portrayals shape Jewish understanding of the Divine. The course also considers why Jews often struggle to speak about God and how the Tanach can offer new ways to approach that relationship.
