The Four Faces of God
Hosted By: London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS)
The London School of Jewish Studies presents the Fifth Annual Lecture of the Rabbi Sacks Chair in Modern Jewish Thought, established by the Zandan Family, on how to deepen one’s relationship with HaKadosh Baruch Hu. The lecture examines what it means to encounter the “face of God” at Sinai, drawing on biblical texts and rabbinic and modern thinkers to explore how God was experienced and whether such encounters are possible. Through analysis of classical and contemporary sources, the session considers what these ideas suggest about the nature of human connection with the Divine.
