SMÍSH GEMÍSH

Hosted By: The Museum of Jewish Heritage-- A Living Memorial to the Holocaust

SMÍSH GEMÍSH is Sarah Myerson (SM), a Yiddish dancer and an ordained cantor, and Ilya Shneyveys (ÍSH), a klezmer multi-instrumentalist. They put the ear in learning, the now in knowledge, and the oy in joy.

Children of all ages and heritages are invited to join the Museum for an afternoon with SMÍSH as they mix together (GEMÍSH) song, dance, games, and stories, and learn a bit of Yiddish along the way.

This program will be held live in the Museum’s Edmond J. Safra Hall. To attend the program in person (limited capacity), register here. To attend the program from home by watching the livestream, register here. Both in person and virtual attendance are free, but a $10 suggested donation helps enable us to present programs like this one. We thank you for your support.
