Siyyum for Tractate Pesachim

Hosted By: My Jewish Learning

Babylonian Talmud, Seder Zera'im

Join My Jewish Learning’s celebration upon completion of Tractate Pesachim. The learning session will be led by Rabbi Asher Lopatin, Rabbanit Dasi Fruchter, and Rabbi Avi Strausberg.

Prior to Passover, it is traditional for Jewish first-borns to fast in commemoration of the tenth plague that took the lives of first born Egyptians but spared first born Israelites. However, this daylight fast can be ended early by a siyyum, a celebration of learning, which makes the day joyous.

If you are a first born who would ordinarily fast on this day, our siyyum is scheduled to allow you to break your fast that morning.
