Say Cheese! Baking Montreal Cheese Bagels for Shavuot
Hosted By: 18Doors, The Wandering Chew

Shavuot! A holiday that commemorates the spring harvest and the receiving of the Torah (Jewish teachings). This Jewish holiday is traditionally celebrated by staying up all night learning and eating a lot of cheese. We won’t stay up until sunrise, but we will learn how to make Montreal Cheese Bagels. These aren’t a savory cheese flavored bagel but rather a sweet pastry you can find only in Montreal, home to our event partner, The Wandering Chew. Join The Wandering Chew and Tani Prell from 18Doors, an inclusive organization that welcomes all interfaith couples and families to bake these tasty treats. While we bake, we’ll learn more about the holiday while answering questions like, “Why cheese?” “What’s this holiday’s special connection to interfaith life?” and more. A shopping and ingredient list will be sent prior to the event. This event is hosted by the 18Doors Atlanta, Boston, and Chicago Innovation Hubs and The Wandering Chew.
This event is pay what you can with a suggested contribution of $18.
