Resounding Ritual Time and Place: Psalm 126 in the German-Jewish Tradition

Hosted By: The National Library of Israel (NLI)

The event is part of the Musical Treasures at the National Library of Israel series, taking place every Sunday in February, featuring talks by leading Israeli music scholars who will delve into the secrets of the National Library’s extensive collections of audio recordings and musical history.

Dr. Naomi Cohn-Zentner is the head of the Jewish Music track at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. Her research focuses on the intersections between domestic and liturgical music, Sephardic music in the Ashkenazic liturgy and, recently, the shared soundscapes of late Ottoman-era Safed.

This event will take place at 12 PM ET/7 PM Israel time.
