Our Stories: Our Chapters in the Book of Life

Hosted By: SVIVAH

There is power in our stories, power in our lived experiences, and endless power in our sharing of them with each other.

Join SVIVAH for an intimate conversation with Shira Lankin Sheps, founder of The Layers Project and the women of Layers, Michal Kaye, Shara Shetrit, Rebecca Spiewak who will share their stories of strength, heart, and connection. This gathering is a reminder to all of us – that our stories have purpose, have importance, have value. We’ll talk about owning our stories, sharing our stories, and letting go of our stories. All while reflecting on the New Year around the bend… a chance to reflect on our stories of this past year and how they’ve changed us.

As always, SVIVAH welcomes anyone who would like to be included in a circle of Jewish women. Also? This is a SVIVAH room. That means we will hear new voices. Meet new people. See familiar faces. BE TOGETHER. This space is something special. We just want to hear how you’re doing. Come pop in. Even if it’s just for 20 minutes. We just want to see your face. The conversation is always better when you show up. RSVP so we can send you the Zoom link. It will be so nice to be together with you.

SVIVAH’s mission is to empower, strengthen, and nourish Jewish women* through community. SVIVAH is a multigenerational, diverse, powerful collective of Jewish women* dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and celebrating life in sisterhood. In Hebrew, svivah means “to surround her'' and that is precisely our goal. We connect women to each other, to cross-generational wisdom, to Jewish learning, and to the resources we need, in an inclusive, women*-only space. We do this by curating Jewish faith experiences with women at the center, by producing wide-ranging programming, and by amplifying and partnering with organizations in line with our values. (*SVIVAH defines “Jewish woman” as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women.)
