DESCRIPTION:The Fritz Ascher Society for Persecuted\, Ostracized and Banned Art presents a lecture on Ossip Klarwein (1893–1970)\, an avant-garde architect who bridged expressionist tradition and radical modernism. Klarwein’s career spanned Berlin\, British Mandate Palestine\, and Israel\, where he contributed to iconic projects including Herzl’s tomb\, Jerusalem’s Hadassah centers\, and the Knesset. Despite his impact\, Klarwein remains little known\, and this program highlights his legacy as part of the Flight or Fight: Stories of Artists Under Repression series.
