The Jewish Theological Seminary of America presents a session with Chancellor Shuly Rubin Schwartz on the themes of the Book of Jonah as we approach the Days of Awe. The program will examine Jonah’s reluctance, his retreat from responsibility, and God’s call to engage with others, even those who seem distant or hostile. Participants will consider what it means to act with courage and moral clarity when turning away might feel easier.
