Michael is Professor of the Practice of Non-fiction at Harvard, Professor of Journalism at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and the director of Berkley's Knight Program in Science and Environmental Journalism. The author of eight book, six of which have been new York Times Bestsellers, his articles have appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, Harpers, and many other publications. In 2010, he was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
