DESCRIPTION:This is Jewish film history: The first mainstream portrayal of the Jews who hid in Iran into the 1930s\, from acclaimed actress and writer Sarah Solemani.\n  \n“Mashhad” follows Miriam\, a spirited young girl forced to hide her Jewishness in the holy city of Mashhad\, where truth can be dangerous. When she forms a secret friendship with a Muslim neighbor\, both families face grave risk.
