Making Our Body a Home for Torah: Embodied Spiritual Practice for Shavuot

Hosted By: Orot Center for New Jewish Learning

Jewish Yoga in preparation for Shavuot with Orot, virtually!

Shavuot, the holiday which commemorates the receiving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai, celebrates the experience of Revelation. Please join the Orot community for an embodied spiritual practice to open our bodies, hearts and minds to the Torah that dwells within. Through Jewish teachings, yoga postures, breath exercises and guided meditations, we will cultivate trust and presence, tap into the wisdom of our bodies and experience our own inner revelation in the holy vessels that are our bodies.

This special embodied workshop is appropriate and adaptable for all levels.

Recommended props: yoga mat, chair, blanket or pillow, and a strap (belt/tie).
