Making Mochi Doughnuts: A Multicultural Hanukkah Workshop

Hosted By: 18Doors

Join us for a Hanukkah workshop that celebrates all multicultural, interfaith, Jewish+ families and couples! Rabbi Malka Packer-Monroe will lead us as we light our Hanukkah candles together and then Nourish Co.’s Kristin Eriko Posner will lead us in a step-by-step workshop to make mochi doughnuts. It’s a take on traditional Hanukkah sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts) that she developed for 18Doors to honor both her Japanese roots and Jewish identity. Whether you dough or dough-not know the blessings over the candles or how to work with mochi, we’ll walk you through all the things you need to know to celebrate Hanukkah.
