JTA Conversations: How We Covered the Surfside Building Collapse

Hosted By: Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA)

In the middle of the night on Thursday, June 24th, an apartment complex collapsed in Surfside, Florida, a heavily Orthodox town near Miami Beach. The inexplicable tragedy has continued to unravel in the days since, as the search-and-rescue mission progresses and the death toll rises. Our Washington bureau chief Ron Kampeas was on the scene in Surfside, reporting on the aftermath of the building collapse and its impact on the local Jewish community.

Bring your questions about the collapse and the Jewish community’s response to a conversation with Ron Kampeas, who will also share his personal experience reporting from Surfside.
