Jews & The News Media, Israel & the Jewish Community
Hosted By: Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program ("CSP")
The Community Scholar Program presents a conversation with veteran New York Times religion correspondent Ari L. Goldman on what it means to practice honest journalism in a moment of fragile public trust, shrinking newsrooms, and the rise of artificial intelligence, particularly when reporting on religion, Israel, and the Jewish people. A longtime Columbia Journalism School professor, Goldman will reflect on credibility, bias, vocation, and how journalists can build trust and moral clarity in a polarized age. He will be in dialogue with Rabbi Elie Kaplan Spitz, exploring truth, responsibility, and the intersection of faith and public life.
