Qesher presents a Jewish Berlin tour exploring the history of the city’s Jewish community from the early settlers to modern times, including the oldest Jewish cemetery and the imposing New Berlin Synagogue. The tour visits the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and the Trains to Life – Trains to Death Monument to explore the darkest period of the community’s history. Participants will also learn about the Jews of the GDR and how the Jewish communities were rebuilt on both sides of the Berlin Wall.
