Jewish Gangsters of the Lower East Side
The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy presents a tour tracing the neighborhood origins of notorious Jewish mobsters including Arnold Rothstein, Meir Lansky, and Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, who extended their bootlegging and criminal activities to Atlantic City, Miami, Cuba, and Las Vegas. The walk visits the old haunts of Murder Inc., the Mafia, and the G-Men on their trail while exploring questions of morality, power, and assimilation.
