Jeffrey Rosen: Remembering the Notorious RBG
Hosted By: Streicker Center Temple Emanu-El NYC
On September 18, 2020, the nation mourned the death of a Supreme Court justice “of historic stature,” in the words of Chief Justice John Roberts, a righteous woman who embodied the Jewish principles of loving mercy and pursuing justice.
Six months after the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center is honored to welcome her friend Jeffrey Rosen, who captured Justice Ginsburg’s remarkable intellect, humanity, steely determination and sense of humor in Conversations with RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law, which draws on 25 years of their exchanges about opera, the future of the Supreme Court, the #MeToo movement and the keys to leading a productive life.
The program will include a special live performance of the original song As If I Weren’t There by Laurie Akers.
