Israel and the Middle East
Hosted By: Congregation Kol Ami

Israel initially had to deal with the Arab League boycott and the antagonism of the Communist world. The 1979 peace agreement between Israel and Egypt and the 1994 treaty with Jordan improved Israel’s position in the Middle East, and 2020 and 2021 have seen exciting new realities as a result of normalization with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco and improved relations with Jordan after years of tension and with Sudan. We will be discussing these events in this class.
