The National Yiddish Book Center offers a Level 1 Yiddish course using its award-winning textbook and a research-backed communicative approach that emphasizes real meaning and practical use. Designed for students with no prior Yiddish experience, the course mirrors how people learn a first language by prioritizing communication and interpretation. Students are expected to study the Yiddish alphabet before the course begins.
