In-Depth Talmud: Studies in Sanhedrin

The London School of Jewish Studies presents a course designed to build confidence in navigating the Talmud through an accessible exploration of Tractate Sanhedrin. Participants will study the structure of a sugya and examine the Talmud’s distinctive use of questions, proofs, stories and legal reasoning while tracing the development of the Jewish legal system and the role of judges and courts. The course offers a guided, rigorous approach to understanding the arguments, patterns and values that shape rabbinic thought.
