Hope Valley

Hosted By: T'ruah

Hope Valley is the title of Rabbi Dr. Haviva Ner-David’s debut novel, coming out in April. Join Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg for a conversation with Rabbi Ner-David about the book as a lens on the occupation and the relationship between Israelis and Palestinians. This event is co-sponsored by NCJW, J Street, and Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.

Hope Valley is about the unexpected friendship between a Palestinian-Israeli and a Jewish-Israeli woman in Galilee. The novel takes place during the summer of 2000, right before the outbreak of the 2nd intifada, with a backstory in 1948, a hidden diary and other secrets revealed as the story unfolds.
