Growing Older, Living Longer: Four Values that Support Our Elder Life Stages
Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning
The contemporary Jewish community is living longer. According to recent studies, Jews over 50 years old make up over 40% of our community. As we grow older, we face new challenges both physically and spiritually. New needs arise and new expectations are set. Melton is pleased to offer this innovative class with Rabbi Richard Address (Founder and Director of Jewish Sacred Aging) in which we will examine the Jewish values of health, healing, wholeness, and holiness. These values combine to create a theology of relationships and growth that support our move into later life stages. Using Torah study and spiritual practice, Rabbi Address will guide students through growing older and wiser in the Jewish tradition.
